school supplies

am i crazy? i LOVE school supplies. i got my packets in the mail yesterday from the boys school. first of all, i cried reading park's kindergarten letter. how can it be that my baby is entering kindergarten???? time went by too fast. i won't be able to pick him up and hold on much longer. scary. fear sets in. so, it's back to my school supply lists. if you are wondering, YES, i already went to walmart today and bought them. and i absolutely loved every minute of it. call me crazy, but i just can't help it. i get a little giddy. maybe it keeps me from realizing how quickly they are growing....right before my eyes.

lunch notes

my sweet, sensitive, and oh so huggable tyler swept me off my feet last week. the boys went to camp thurman where they had to take a lunch everyday. just as my sweet mom always did, (from the time i was little until i was a senior in high school) i left them notes in their lunches everyday. i would find different things on the computer - indiana jones, wall-e, etc...and type them little notes to find when they opened their lunches. one morning tyler handed me a folded note as he was getting out of the car. he said, "don't read it until lunch time." of course, the minute the door shut i opened it up. :) it was the sweetest little note in his handwriting that read, "mommy, i hope you are having a great time today. i love you, tyler." that is just him. he thinks of these things...he has such a big heart. i love this little being that god created to be so full of love. how blessed i am to be his mom.
