One thing about Parker is he LOVES to eat. It's funny, because he's not that big of a kid. But, he sure can eat. I think he just goes fast enough and long enough that his meals burn off quickly! Saturday night we were headed to Cafe Express (his FAVORITE place to eat) and detoured into Banana Republic and Gap for a little while. The little guy was NOT happy about this. He had played a full soccer game, played kickball and tag at the gym after that, and we had the nerve to make him shop BEFORE dinner. After pleading his case, we promised him two bowls of his favorite pasta at dinner. He actually said the words to Tim, "I want to have a pooch tonight, I want to be fat!" He was that hungry! We get to dinner and the place (which is usually not crowded and very pleasant to eat it) was crawling with people. Apparently a nearby church had just let out its Saturday night service and they infiltrated our cafe. So, we had to wait even longer......never fear, the boy got his food - and ate the entire serving of TWO bowls full. Afterwards, we even had ice cream. Boy, wouldn't it be nice if we could ALL eat that way???

Storms...
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, life is about learning to dance in the rain.
Lately it seems as if a lot of people i know (myself included) have been weathering the storms of life. I don't understand most of them, or why things happen the way they do. Most of the time I spend hours just trying to figure out what it is exactly that God seems to be trying to teach me or show me. I just know that there MUST be something HE is doing. All I can do is BELIEVE. He is a good God, a GREAT God, and the REDEEMER of all things. In the meantime, I will try to remember this quote I saw yesterday, I will TRY to dance in the rain - while waiting on my Redeemer to work it out, reveal the plan, change the heart, heal the pain, provide what is needed, and bring HOPE again.Monday, April 13, 2009

School Easter Parties
Today the boys had their Easter parties at school. Parker's was first and he had a bunny face painted on when I got there. He looked cute. He had fun during his party doing the bunny hop and chicken dances! Then we headed over to Victoria Park for Tyler's class party. They had fun at the park and enjoyed hunting their Easter eggs outside. Parker went with me and he thought he was pretty cool hanging out with the 3rd graders!

Little Man...
This weekend Parker was the ring bearer in my cousin, Taylor's wedding. He did AWESOME! He really enjoyed being "one of the guys" and thought he needed to be with them at all times. He stood still during the whole wedding and made Mommy so proud! It was an absolutely beautiful wedding. Amber looked gorgeous! Congratulations to Taylor & Amber, and thanks for letting Parker be a part of your special day!!
