Football Lovin' Family

we love football. we get sad when the season is over, and we anticipate the beginning of the season way too many months before it starts! my dad is lucky. he has three girls, and we all three absolutely love the game. we love the dallas cowboys. my parents have had season tickets for over 30 years. in fact, i was born on what happened to be a season opening monday night game for dallas. my dad fed me my first bottle, and went to the game. we were cowboys fans from birth. so, it just makes sense that my boys love the cowboys. they needed to experience a game. they needed to experience texas stadium. BUT, there was no way we were going to allow kids to take our tickets during a regular season game. as i said, there are three girls (and three football loving men with them) in our family...which allows for splitting those season tickets three ways. kids not included. that's the deal. they get preseason, we get regular season. and when playoffs come, it's drawing straws. (to a child, this did not matter. they didn't know the difference from preseason to regular season.) from the minute we saw the stadium from the highway parker began talking, smiling, clapping, he was ready to go! i smiled most of the night just watching his eyes dance with joy. tyler yelled loudest in our section. he even found it quite exciting when the extra point kick was made. he laughed, clapped, and tried EXTREMELY hard to get on tv. i noticed that most of the night tim & i were watching them...we found more joy in that than the game!

mission accomplished...they love football, they love the dallas cowboys!

1st Day of School

i can't believe the summer is over and school has started. both boys were VERY excited about school starting. tyler is in third grade. he has a wonderful teacher, mrs, pfaffenberger, and i couldn't be more blessed. i feel very lucky that the boys are able to go to a school that is so full of love for them, love for God, and they get a great education!

parker started kindergarten and he was the most excited in our house! he has been looking forward to this day for a LONG time. he has mrs. hoang for his teacher and she is the perfect kindergarten teacher. he already just loves her! he looked super cute in his uniform! i did great until i drove off where i proceeded to cry the whole way to work. my baby is officially growing up. time goes by way too fast!!!

laguna beach

.....driving down highway 1, the ocean waves crashing on the rocks, the boys laughing hysterically as they run from the waves, throwing the frisbee and football, burying parker in sand up to his neck, laguna beach....it's just a beautiful place to be....

but, it's also a reminder that summer is almost over.......
