I thought I was smart, well, at least that I knew a little bit about our country and how it works...until tonight. I'm trying my hardest to watch these Presidential debates (I wish Tyler was here so he could tell me whether or not to capitalize Presidential...I know Mrs. Pfaff has taught him that!) and I just don't understand a word these two men are saying. Poor Tim keeps seeing me raise my hand, he pauses the television, and I ask my question. Now, to my credit, I am scrapbooking while trying to listen. So, I'm a bit distracted by stickers and picture placement. There are words being used I've never heard of, and names of people I can't even pronounce. The only thing I know is that the poor moderator man has too much tv makeup on and looks a little ghostly to me. Don't worry, I'll do my research before November...but, I just realized I must have a lot of research to do. For now, back to my picture placement....Friday, September 26, 2008

Happy Birthday Parker!
My little boy turned six this past weekend! On Friday I took cupcakes to his class at school. He really liked that! On Saturday he had his first soccer game of this season, and scored NINE goals! He did awesome! Then, we headed on to Skatetown for his big party. He got his wish and Pops & Mimi took he and Tyler, and his cousins, Dylan & Daniel home with them for a sleepover. I'm sure that was quiet! Ha! Sunday he had another soccer game and scored another three goals. We topped off our weekend with watching the Cowboys beat Cleveland! It was a hectic, but fun filled weekend for us! He looks so big to me now. He's grown and is taller, he wears a uniform to school, he has homework....my baby is growing....

Thirty-Five???
this week i turned thirty-five...wow, that seems old....especially due to the fact that i seem to be having more and more ailments these days. poor tim listens to a new one almost everyday. hence, the reason, (if any of you are wondering) why i've been wearing my glasses for the last week, my right eye looks sleepy & swollen, and i NEVER have eye makeup on! i have somehow managed to get not one, but, TWO ulcers on my cornea. many of you who know me will say it's my own fault, i'm a terrible contact lense wearer. i don't follow directions, and i wear my contacts too long. so, i have now made the final decision and i will be having lasik in the coming months. i'm done, SO DONE, with this issue. back to my birthday...i love a birthday! many thanks to all my friends that remembered and sent me emails, cards, voicemails, and texts this week. i had a great lunch on wednesday with my mom, dina, and beckey at city cafe. my boys took me to babe's in roanoke on wednesday night. i feel very happy and blessed seeing the places God has taken me in my thirty five years, and even more so where he has landed me now. the journey is not always what we think it should be, and can seem long and tiring at times, but i TRUST that HE always knows what HE is doing and where HE is going with me. so long to thirty-four, hello thirty-five....i can't wait to see what this year brings.
