Are You Ready For Some Football?

It's that time again...time for our ANNUAL family fantasy football draft.  This year Tyler & Parker and Dylan & Daniel get their own teams.  Should make for an interesting household the week Tim & I play the boys.  It was a fun day as usual.  We love being with family!

Mommy ready to help the boys with their picks.

Hard at work...concentrating on who their next pick will be

Tim has a few devices working....and he's working hard entering all of the picks online too!

Dina "helping" Stan...ha ha...yes, they have team STINA shirts!

Can't let the day go without some hugs and loving from my niece!

Beckey managed our draft board and was a FABULOUS "Vanna"

WE SURVIVED!

Well, we survived the first day of school.  I was the one that was OVER THE TOP nervous.  I got into Parker's class and got one picture and then started worrying about him so much I panicked.  I rubbed his head, said have a good day...and pretty much hurried out.  I didn't even get a picture with his teacher.  I got one darn picture on the first day of school.  SO NOT LIKE ME.  Then, I drove Tyler over to his school, he leaned up, kissed my cheek, and literally jumped out without looking back before I could even speak.  TEARS.  I cried most of the way to the office.  I was worried about them sitting alone all day, no one talking to them....I was fearful.  So, I prayed all day.  When I picked them up....they were great.  No worries, made friends, had fun, loved it.  I wonder if God is trying to say to me...."Don't live in fear, trust me, I will protect them."  So, today I will try harder to do just that.  Trust that although there still might be tough days ahead, God is in control, and He has my boys best interest in His mind and heart.

I did manage to get this pic of Parker on my phone after school.  This was his two thumbs up for loving school today!

CHANGE

There is a lot of CHANGE happening in our family right now.  I don't like change.  I'm not very good at it AT ALL.  So, I need prayer...lots of prayer!  We are moving in a few weeks.  That in itself is a big change.  Tyler started youth group at church this morning.  I was nervous for him, sad for me that he is growing up...I pretty much cried throughout the whole service.  Poor Tim, I'm a basket case these days.  Tomorrow both boys go to new schools.  They go to new public schools.  I'm excited, nervous, overwhelmed.  I'm so glad we found a house in a great school district.  Their teachers and everyone we have met so far have been amazingly nice and helpful.  I'm still nervous. I don't get to walk Tyler into school, make sure someone's talking to him, make sure he made it upstairs in that HUGE school to his homeroom.  He's in 6th grade...he just gets the drop off and a bunch of prayer!  So, if you read this - give us a shout out in your prayers tomorrow.  I'll be the crazy mom crying!

Parker is starting 3rd grade at Old Union Elementary

Tyler is starting 6th grade at Eubanks Intermediate

Last, but not least, a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the most amazing teachers my boys have had at The Sloan School the past 6 years.  You have given them a foundation based on God's principals and developed character in them I am so grateful for.  Words can't express how lucky they are to have had you as teachers.  BONUS!  I got a whole new set of great friends!!!  THANK YOU!!!

For Tyler: Maria, Ashley, Brittney (TWICE! Lucky Us!!), Kim, Amy
For Parker: Amber, Jeannie, Maria, Kerri, Lindsey, Amy

HP

So, I'm way late on this trendy series...but, Tyler just finished reading all of the Harry Potter books.  So, we've started watching the movies.  We have only seen HP1 and HP2 now...but, by far...my favorite character is this little guy, Dobby.  How can you not love the moment where Harry gives him the sock and sets him free????  Precious little Dobby...you are my new favorite thing.
